Adam Boll

Adam is an enthusiastic composer and arranger with works ranging from marching band field shows to full-length Broadway-style musicals for the theater.  

Originally from Park Falls, Wisconsin, Adam is actively involved in community music programs and frequently volunteers as a pit musician for local theater companies. He serves as Orchestra Conductor for the Eau Claire Children's Theatre, a position he has held since June 2004. Other positions have included three years teaching summer band at Eau Claire's Northstar Middle School in Eau Claire, and two consecutive terms as Music Director for the men's music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Adam has won multiple awards for composition, arranging, and conducting including the UWEC Symphony Band Outstanding Member Award (2003-2004), UWEC Wind Symphony Conducting Competition Winner (2006), and several scholarships for musical achievement.

Adam is currently a Band Director for the School District of Altoona, Wisconsin. When not teaching band or music lessons, he works as a freelance composer, arranger, performer, and conductor. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and a Master's in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Stout.


Josh Hertel

Originally from Denmark, Wisconsin, Josh attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and graduated in the Spring of 2005 with a Bachelor of Music of Education and certification to teach mathematics. During his time at UW-Eau Claire, Josh was involved in many different academic areas, played in numerous ensembles, held various leadership positions, and actively studied trombone under Mr. Rodney Hudson and Dr. Phil Ostrander.

After his graduation from UW–Eau Claire, Josh taught high school mathematics for three years in Neenah, Wisconsin. He then attended graduate school for mathematics education at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. Josh completed a Master's in Mathematics in 2005 and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education in 2013.

Josh now lives in La Crosse, WI where teaches mathematics content and pedagogy courses at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. Music and mathematics continue to play important and inspiring roles in his life. For more information visit his personal website http://www.joshhertel.com
